Meet Yusef — Our most experienced and devoted currier
The trade of currying is a vital segment of the leather industry because this is when artisans add highest quality natural dyes to their leather.
This leather coloring process requires the trait of patience—which is one Yusef has been acquiring for over 30 years in the industry. Along with his father, and grandfather, he has dedicated his life to his workshop, located in the mountains of his hometown- Manisa, Turkey.
Yusef applies the techniques he’s acquired over generations, which include dressing, finishing and coloring the tanned hide to make it strong, flexible and waterproof.
